Barrel of Monkeys Academy: About Us

At Barrel of Monkeys Academy, LLC, we like to have fun and it often seems like "it's a jungle in
here" but we are learning and growing in all our activities.

History:
Barrel of Monkeys Academy, LLC started in June 2006, Licensed in December 2006 in Oklahoma
and Licensed in Texas in March 2008. In August of 2010 we will be moving to a bigger location in
Broken Arrow to meet the needs of our growing families. We are set up to be a service to our
community by offering an outstanding childcare environment to your children and going above and
beyond our parents expectations. Here at BMA, we put the children first. We actively prepare
children through empowering them with life skills, knowledge, self respect and letting their
imaginations soar. BMA is currently operating in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and is Licensed by DHS.

Goal:
Our goal at BMA is to be able to give parents the peace of mind that their children are experiencing
the best learning environment. BMA has Internet monitoring security cameras, you can log on and
view your child anytime they are here.

Philosophy:
We are dedicated to providing the healthiest, developmentally progressive environment possible.
Attention is given to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional needs of each child. Activities
are designed to promote skill mastery, social competency, positive self image and sense of
security for each child.

Our Staff:
We employ some of the highest qualified employees in the business. The educational background
and experience of our staff provides an excellent foundation for the success of our program. All
teachers are required to complete CPR and First Aid. In addition, staff is required to complete a
minimum of 15-20 continuing education hours per year.

BMA is owned and operated by Sarah Harris. Sarah has worked with teachers since 1995,
substituting, tutoring, brining in extra circular activities, working one on one with the 4 year olds and
much more in the school system. Sarah has a BSBA in Accounting from The University of Tulsa
with several hours in Child Development Courses and a paralegal certificate from Tulsa
Technology Center. Certified in CPR/FA by the American Red Cross and all training guidelines
required by the state. Sarah has 2 little girls, 1 little boy and is married to Rodney. Sarah and
Rodney are high school sweethearts and have been married since 1999. They both enjoy teaching
and learning new skills with their children everyday. Sarah has enjoyed watching children learn
and grow through the years. She truly appreciates all the wonderful moments that she has with
every child that has been in her childcare.
